National Conference on Emerging Trends In Mechanical Engineering organised by Dept of Mechanical Engineering, St Joseph Engineering College Mangaluru in association with "Scientific & Academic Publishing USA".
After successfully completing two conferences the Department of Mechanical Engineering at SJEC brings to you eTIME 2017. eTIME series is an attempt to bring together a congregation of academicians, researchers, and industry personnel on a common platform to share, discuss and disseminate information on emerging trends in Mechanical Engineering.
Engineering education in India is witnessing a remarkable transition to a more focused research-centric process leading to innovation and growth. Material science is a key area gaining tremendous research impetus. The complex manufacturing requirements of today necessitate smart functional materials whose properties could be controlled by the user. Research in composite materials is producing quality materials which are slowly replacing traditional homogenous materials. With increasing severity of modern day machines, tribological aspects of contact surfaces and lubrication efficiency are also generating continued research interest. Research in energy engineering is being continuously driven to bring forth clean sustainable energy. Nanotechnology, as expected, is finding its way into every field of mechanical engineering. Nanofluids with interesting rheological properties are also experiencing renewed interest. The complexity of manufacturing and costly resources has also led to research interest being generated in production and quality control engineering.
eTIME 2017 will bring to the table latest developments in the above-mentioned research areas. It is an opportunity for researchers in this region and elsewhere to meet, discuss and look at possibilities of forming research groups on specific topics leading to more synergised work.
