Our annual Midnight ride is back with a bang... The cover picture of the event is the one clicked during Midnight ride conducted in 2015 with 70+ riders riding from 12 am- 2 am. If you observe the picture closely, you can see many riders without basic safety gears like Helmet and blinkers.
Time has changed and we as a club cannot stress enough on the importance of wearing proper safety gears.
Other than Helmets and Blinkers which are mandatory for all our riders to participate in our club events, following safety gears are also equally important.
Wear gloves while riding, other than helping you grip your handlebars better while sweating, it'll help your palms from scraping in the event of a fall
Stay Visible If drivers can see you, they are less likely to hit you. Use reflective vests when biking at night or in low-light conditions.
Look, Signal & Look Again Use proper hand signals to let drivers and other cyclists know which direction you’re riding.
Stay Alert Keep a lookout for obstacles in your path.
This Midnight ride all of us will ride safe and we will be having 5 celebrities from Mangalore riding with us strongly promoting the message on need for using basic safety gears like Helmet, Blinkers and other safety gears whether you are cycling for fitness, commutation.
Let's together make this ride meaningful and successful.
